Kenya tour ( 6N/7D)

DAY 01 : Nairobi - Arrival

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure - Overnight in Nairobi


DAY 02 : Great Rift Valley

Breakfast , then drive to the Great Rift Valley and to your camp in the Kigio Wildlife Conservancy, a 3,500 acre park home to Rothschild giraffe, buffalo, gazelle, hyena and hippos. After lunch at your camp, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive while enroute to visit a local community to learn about their traditional basket weaving techniques. Later, you will take a guided nature walk to learn about wildlife footprints and medicinal plants.


DAY 03 : Masai Mara

Breakfast , then depart early this morning for the Masai Mara National Reserve. Located in the southwest corner of Kenya, the park is most famous for the wildebeest migration which takes place every year from July through October. The breathtaking savannahs of the park are a stunning backdrop to a diverse and abundant wildlife population throughout the year. Enjoy lunch at your camp, and depart for an afternoon game drive until sunset.


DAY 04 : Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

Breakfast , then depart early for a game drive through the Masai Mara. The park is home to the "Big Five" (lions, elephants, buffalo, leopard and rhinos), as well as antelopes, gazelles, hippos and a variety of bird life. Return to the lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation, before setting out on an afternoon game drive. This evening, return to camp and relax as you enjoy the sunset on your final night in the Mara.


DAY 05 : Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Center

Today, bid farewell to the Mara and return to Nairobi. This afternoon visit the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Center, named after the author of the famous memoir Out of Africa. Today the center is a successful breeding ground for Rothschild giraffes. Here you will learn about the conservation efforts, and have the opportunity to view and feed the giraffes.


DAY 06 : Final Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Day 01: Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi; after you disembark off the flight and are assisted through immigration and custom procedures, our local team member will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at a Nairobi hotel.


Day 02: Nairobi - Tree Hotel (200 KM - 02.30 HRS)

After breakfast, leave Nairobi in the morning to Nyeri, a small but fast growing town in the heart of the coffee growing and dairy farming area in the so-called former White Highlands of Kenya. After a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel, the tour leaves for a tree hotel where the evening is spent watching succession of animals that emerge from the forest and descend on floodlit water hole and salt lick, scuffling and jostling for a good vantage position. At night if you want to remain awake and watch the show-the Elephants may engage in a show of strength with each other but even they would be reluctant to challenge the rhino.


Day 03: Tree Hotel - Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club (80 KM - 01.30 HRS)

After breakfast a short drive brings you to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, which is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya (17,058 feet). You also get a chance to stop at the Equator. With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort's 120 luxuriously appointed hotel rooms, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden, the Club's illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. There are many recreational activities available: horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more. After lunch, enjoy the activities at the hotel.


Day 04: Mount Kenya - Nakuru/Naivasha (200 KM - 03.00 HRS)

After breakfast, the tour crosses over the top of the Aberdare range of mountains, stopping briefly to gaze at the 73m Thompson's Falls, named after Joseph Thompson the Scots explorer, who was the first European to see the Falls in 1884. Continue to Nakuru for lunch. After lunch an exciting game drive is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird's species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.


Day 05: Nakuru/Naivasha - Masai Mara (300 KM - 05.30 HRS/ 230 KM - 05.30 HRS)

After breakfast, drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest's migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at your Lodge/ camp and relax before departing for an afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve - one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Parks are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.


Day 06: Masai Mara

After breakfast, proceed on a morning game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a sumptuous lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'.


Day 07: Masai Mara - Nairobi (270 KM - 05.00 HRS)

After breakfast checkout and drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch on your own. Later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

Day 1:Arrive In Nairobi

Meet and greet on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by The Earth Safari representatives. Thereafter receive a short briefing about your safari which gives you a clear idea on the places you are going to visit as well as the accommodationarrangements. After the briefing be driven to your city hotel for check-in. Overnight at the Hotel.


Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

After the breakfast, depart to Amboseli arriving at the foothill of the majestic Kilimanjaro in time for lunch. Amboseli lies immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty.After lunch, depart for a rewarding afternoon game drive till evening.


Day 3:Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day within this beautiful reserve viewing wildlife, birds and enjoying the natural ecosystem that exists within this park as you view and photograph the scenic landscape which characterizes this park. Cultural visits to Maasai villages can also be organized at an extra cost.


Day 4:Amboseli - Mt. Kenya National Park

After breakfast, depart from the park and be driven to the slopes of Mt. Kenya in central province. You will be driven through very scenic landscape and arrive at the lodge in time for check in and lunch. The lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of wildlife enabling you to view them from the comfort of your room or from the lodge view decks.


Day 5:Mt. Kenya - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast you will have a morning departure from Mt. Kenya and be driven to Lake Nakuru, the most famous bird lover's paradise in Kenya. En route, you will visit the famous Thompson falls, which is a scenic picnic and photographic spot that drains into the Aberdare Ranges. You will enjoy a short walk in the beautiful nature trail located at the base of the falls. Afterwards, proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving for lunch and afterwards, an afternoon game drive.


Day 6:Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Park

After breakfast you will check out and depart to the Mara Reserve, home to the big five and numerous plains game. If you visit between July and October, you will have an opportunity to spot the annual wildebeest migration. You will arrive in time for check in and lunch at your lodge before departing for afternoon game drives. Optional activities include hot air balloon safari, guided nature walks, bush lunch/dinner/breakfast, bird walks, and evening sundowner.


Day 7:Masai Mara National Park

Spend a full day at leisure within the extensive and beautiful Mara reserve, looking out for the big five and enjoying game drives with all meals being served at the lodge. Optional activities include a visit to the Masai villages, Walking Kenya safari or hot air balloon safari.


Day 8:Masai Mara - Nairobi - Departure

Enjoy a final game drive within the Masai Mara. After breakfast depart from the park and return to Nairobi. Upon arrival, be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your outbound flight to your next destination.
